‘Real Housewife’ Erika Jayne Seeking $7.5M for L.A. Home After Price Cut

Although television personality Erika Jayne quickly sold her retreat in La Quinta last year — the property hit the market at $1.3 million in late summer, and sold at its asking price inside a month — the RHOBH cast member hasn’t had quite as easy a row to hoe where her character-rich period residence in Pasadena is concerned.

Jayne’s efforts at finding a new owner for the gated property began in the spring of 2021, when the charming little estate hit the open market priced at $13 million. The latest price cut levied on the listing leaves the 1928-built, 10,277 sq. ft. villa tagged at $7.5 million.

The four-bedroom home’s more marvelously eccentric details include a cathedral-inspired prayer room, a space for worship that’s small but nonetheless aspirational — in design, as in the desire for metaphysical promotion it may arouse — a groin-vaulted ceiling sporting Italian Renaissance-style frescoes, wall niches, a frieze, a lantern pendant and bronze statues complete the benedictory atmosphere.

A gallery with limestone flooring and walnut paneling, a library with carved wood bookshelves, a wood-paneled study with a parquet floor, a living room with a complex coffered ceiling, and a formal dining room with panoramic wall covering—silk, apparently—are a few of the other eye-catchers in this unusually engaging house. The master suite includes a salon and a creative workspace alongside its dedicated bath and walk-in closet and dressing room.

The grounds unwind in a leisurely fashion over a nearly two-acre rectangle-shaped lot, working in a water feature and pool, a pool house, lawns and gardens along the way.
