Everybody Loves Raymond star Ray Romano recently listed the clapboard-clad beach house in Venice, California, he picked up in the late summer of 2017. The comedian is asking $2.495 million for the 1,863 sq. ft. cottage, which contains three bedrooms and three baths.
The house went up in 1956. It’s a single-level, although it does feature a pull-down for attic access. It’s located a fairly quick hop from Venice Beach, and situated near Marine Park.
A quick then-and-now survey suggests that Romano avoided major revisions to the home; a look at the interiors doesn’t reveal a burning need for changes, however, and the layout, décor and living style are essentially turnkey. The common area is a wide-open space, and the kitchen is outfitted with a barn-inspired island which is presided over by a pair of the industrial pendant light fixtures that pop up here and there as the home progresses.
The house features a back deck overlooking the yard. It’s accessible from both the master bedroom — via double doors — as well as the main living area.
Romano’s most recent residential real estate acquisition is a Toluca Lake traditional-style with a low-slung roof and a 25-foot veranda. A red brick patio and pool surround, a guest house and a tennis court are featured on the property. The actor paid $6 million for the 3,807 square-footer last summer.
Romano recently starred in Somewhere in Queens, a comedy film he co-wrote, directed and produced.
