Vacheron Constantin and the Louvres combined forces to design the watchmaker’s new timepiece series, Métiers d’Art Tribute to Great Civilisations.
The new Vacheon Constantin model comes in five different versions, each homage to a signature cultural artwork of a particular civilization. Featured in the series is a Sphinx of Ancient Egypt, the Lion de Darius of the Achaemenids, the Victory statue of Samothrace, and the Roman bust of Augustus.
Each watch features one or more of the following special materials: gold applique, champlevé and grisaille enamel, multi-fired enamel, stone micro-mosaic, and sapphire crystal. Details include hieroglyphic inscriptions and metallization engraving. Cases are 42mm, in pink and white gold, and all watched feature the house’s Manufacture Calibre 2460 G4/2.
The four watches of the Vacheron Constantin Métiers d’Art Tribute to Great Civilisations are available. Price on request.
