For 2023, one of Audi’s high-end models will receive a new optional suite: a Competition package. The turnkey option will be available for the RS 5 Coupe and Sportback in the upcoming model year. It adds a host of features that hone the models’ performance chops and make them more enjoyable to drive.

From the wheels up, the kit includes a set of Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires and abundant carbon fiber for the mirror caps, splitter and diffuser. Audi has added a coilover suspension for the Competition package, with an even lower clearance allowed, the AWD system has been adjusted for aggressive driving, and steering has been adjusted to be more sensitive. Audi also includes carbon ceramic brakes with the kit. A Competition-enabled RS 5 is also faster, but the story does rest in a huge speed increase, but in how the package alters feel and response.

Inside the cabin, there’s new Nappa leather, and Audi put a lot of microsuede—what they call Dinamica—to work for a plush feel. Alcantara with red accent stitching and carbon fiber enhance the thrills. Buyers can also option a Competition-specific paint color, which is pictured below: Sebring Black, which the company subtitles ‘crystal effect’. It does look smashing.

Base sticker for a Competition RS 5 will be $93,095, before other options. The Competition package accounts for a $16,100 bump over the regular RS 5.
