The second of the two homes in California owned by late actress Betty White to appear on the open market this year found a new owner in very short order.

Both of White’s residences sold at above asking price. The first, a beachside escape in Carmel-By-The-Sea, came up for sale at $8 million in April; the 3,621 sq. ft. house was gone within weeks, changing hands at $10.775 million.

The second of the pair is a five-bedroom, six-bath farmhouse in Los Angeles measuring 3,029 sq. ft. It appeared on the market a few weeks after the first, and was priced at land value: $10.6 million; it went to a new owner this month, and closed at $10.678 million.

With a façade dressed up by a covered porch, a section of fieldstone, and canary yellow shutters and front door, the 1952-built house makes an invitational first impression. The property’s backyard may not be quite as marvelous as what waited behind the home in Monterey, but the private glade of lawn and pool amid privacy landscaping makes for an urban escape that’s plenty appealing.
