Back in late 2016, model Kate Upton and professional baseball player Justin Verlander purchased the 5,500 sq. ft. Beverly Hills home pictured below. The Benedict Canyon property’s ownership provenance includes tennis legend Pete Sampras, angelic actress Kate Jackson, and lyrical light jazz man Kenny G. Verlander and Upton picked it up back in 2016 for $5.25 million.

Last fall, the couple purchased in Upton’s home state of Florida, buying a 1.1-acre estate in Jupiter for $6.5 million. A listing for the Benedict Canyon estate followed in short order, arriving within a month or so with an asking price of $11.75 million. The house recently found a new owner; it closed for $10.98 million.

The property sits on a 1.55-acre lot, enabling the 1976-built house to be framed in a considerable border of green, and also for outdoor living areas to find languid expression; the broad, tree-shaded hillside patio floored in stone is one of the highlights of the estate, while the red brick pool and patio on the other side of the home is another.

Inside the house, updates conducted under the Upton/Verlander ownership tenure can be spotted; aside from the kitchen, which has seen a full revision, they are not extensive. In the shared living spaces, one ceiling has transitioned from raw timber to gray and white, while the trussing of another has received iron hardware as a cosmetic flourish.

Amenities in the home include a theater room and a wet bar. Outside, the sunken tennis court takes center stage; Sampras used it for daily practice.
