Vehicular ballistics protection specialist AddArmor has unveiled several supercar projects over the last few years. Among the company’s back-page successes: a Ferrari 458 Speciale and, more recently, an Aston Martin Vantage unveiled by the firm in rough-and-tumble B4-level protection.

AddArmor upped the ante recently, though, when they adapted a Cadillac Escalade to protect at B6 level. The company installed ‘B6 AR 500’ panels in the SUV, and glass that has the same degree of protection. B6-level ballistic protection can handle AK-47 fire and the blast from two hand grenades. The AddArmor Escalade also features run-flat tires.

AddArmor also included a host of creature comfort updates to the disaster-ready SUV. Included in the cabin layout is a pair of temperature-variable, massaging captain’s chairs. New leather upholstery, window blinds and a panoramic sunroof are also included.

The price for all this cushy protection: about $75K.
