Kim Kardashian is in the real estate news this spring with a purchase in Hidden Hills, the preferred Los Angeles-area stomping ground of her family. The 4,239 sq. ft. home came at a cost of $6.3 million, according to Dirt. The purchase seems to be more of a strategic acquisition than anything else, with Kardashian shelling out a whopping $800,000 over the $5.5 million listing ask. The deal makes sense considering the property sits next door to her primary compound.
Custom-built in 1975, the ranch-style home sports a grandiose entry; the low-slung roof section over the front door rises into a second level, leaving much of the rest of the house behind. The glass of the double doors extends to the apex of the eave, meanwhile. The façade gives the impression of a place of worship, while the fencing of equestrian trails, a requisite Hidden Hills amenity, frame the home.
The interiors use the entry’s two stories to best advantage, and to a great extent the foyer is also the culmination of the shared spaces, and extends to a dining room with parquet and a family room with a wet bar. A twin staircase with carpet-covered treads—the house hasn’t seen a trip to market in about forty years—rises to an upper level gallery. Beyond it, the home’s four bedrooms begin, including a master with a balcony.
The house sits on a 1.03-acre lot, with lawns and a motor court filling out the available space.
Kardashian’s net worth is around $1.8 billion.
