Spring 2022 found energy drink billionaire Russell Weiner in a spendy mood. The Rockstar beverage kingpin took time out in the middle of May to close on a lavish new estate in Utah. The property’s six bedrooms and nine baths are distributed across 17,567 sq. ft. of interior living space; the lot measures in at about five acres.
The estate, titled Monitor’s Rest, is situated in a sheltered, ski in/ski out spot at the base of Monitor Bowl. The mansion, completed last year, is a striking expression of luxurious alpine vacationing. Materials at work in the house include Shou Sugi Ban cupress, copper, Italian steel, and Croatian limestone. The landscaping includes statuary, and water features.
Of the home’s amenities, the most interesting is surely the DARWIN Home Wellness Intelligence Network, which uses lighting to help regulate circadian rhythms, as well as a network of monitors and filters for sustained air and water quality, to help create a living style that is, shall we say, well-rounded.
More mainstream amenities are another matter — although little is left out. Highlights include a spa and gym complex with a Himalayan salt room, an ice fountain, a hot tub, a cold plunge pool, and a sauna. Other sporty recreational diversions include an indoor sports court with volleyball, pickle ball and basketball court space, a golf simulator, and a bowling alley. A massage room, a club room with full-sized bar, and a media room round out the list.
Weiner’s net worth is around $4 billion.
