About a year after selling his Cleveland-area home for $2.5 million, NBA center Tristan Thomson has accepted an offer for the Los Angeles-area property he listed in 2020: a 9,864 sq. ft. home in Encino with a recent asking price of $7.9 million. The seven-bedroom property changed hands around the middle of May, and traded at $7.825 million.
The contemporary mixes modern farmhouse with Cape Cod; its exterior is an eccentric series of flourishes: gables, a balcony, various window shapes, a bit of timber cladding, a little chevron pattern in the garage doors. As one steps into the home, marble in a honed finish makes up the lion’s share of the first impression, and is reprised in the surrounds for the linear fireplaces in the shared living space as the home develops.
Amenities in the home include a theater that’s been given a soft treatment, as well as a master with another marble fireplace, dual baths and closets, and a small bar area with a wine cooler. Beyond the retractable glass in back of the home is an outdoor living area with a fire pit, a pool, an outdoor kitchen and bar, and a two-bedroom guest house.
