Machine Gun Kelly Pays $7.5M for Logan Paul’s L.A. Home

YouTube success story and occasional boxer Logan Paul owned a woodsy 1970s postmodern in Encino for about five years when it sold this spring. The online personality paid $6.55 million for the property — which is located within the Rancho Estates community — and put it up for sale again at $9 million in the autumn of last year. This month, the seven-bed, eight-bath sprawler went to a new owner for a touch more than $7.5 million; the buyer was Machine Gun Kelly.

The house’s architecture is a mishmash of 1970s back-to-the-land idealism backed with enough moolah to bring it off as a mansion. With its Rocky Mountain alpine and farmhouse design elements and weathered timber exterior, there’s a certain easygoing Capricorn Records atmosphere about the place, and it packs in more than one surprise on a tour of its roughly 8,000 sq. ft. of interior floor space.

Details include unfinished ceiling timber, accents in architectural concrete and masonry, and the newer light fixtures. The home’s wet bar and dining room are highlights; the bar is an adventurous design and backed with a wall finished in herringbone-pattern hardwood, while the dining room suitably refined countryside by way of a step-down hardwood design and skylight-inset beamed patial vault.

Stepping outside, the two-level stone patio and freeform pool get much of the attention, but a stone walking path meanders across the lawn to a reticent little freestanding studio, which features a retractable wall of glass.

Machine Gun Kelly last two studio albums topped the Billboard 200 chart. The most recent, Mainstream Sellout, was released about a month ago. Machine Gun Kelly embarks on a tour of North America and Europe in support of the album next month. On the film side, he stars in the upcoming Good Mourning, with Megan Fox, Pete Davidson, Whitney Cummings, and Mod Sun, and One Way, with Kevin Bacon.
