To close out April, supermodel and household name Elle Macpherson put her South Florida house up for sale on the open market. Macpherson is asking $29 million for the 8,314 sq. ft. contemporary Tuscan-style home, which sits on a comfortably expansive 1.71-acre lot in Coral Gables, and contains six bedrooms and seven baths.

The property was renovated extensively in 2017, according to listing information, but it may be accurate to say it was a complete rebuild. Macpherson purchased it in 2018 for $8.1 million.

The house presently shows off a symmetrical façade with a pair of casements and accompanying Juliet balconies on either side of a rather graceful entry capped with a multi-pane transom. Interiors are distinguished by an unpretentious design sensibility and serene evocations of space, with plank hardwood floors, pocketing doors, curtain dividers, off-white walls and ceilings, and long strident lines.

The foyer, which features a soaring ceiling enhanced by the soft gradient of the staircase, transitions in languid fashion to the main living area and its oversized glass overlooking the landscaping; as appealing is the kitchen, where the lines are again long, and white marble and white-painted masonry add a touch of the ethereal.

For a striking dash of color, the home’s salon features walls in a darker shade of aquamarine, with a blue velvet U-shaped sofa an appealingly decadent accessory, the softness reprised by the home’s bohemian use of curtains.
