The 7,500 sq. ft. Beverly Hills nest of feature film producer Jeff Skoll came to the open market this year and departed again in fairly short order.

The former eBay executive listed the house, along with a neighboring property he owns, in January. For both properties in the compound — main estate and guest house — he was hoping for $33 million. The main estate sold in the third week of March, fetching $22.5 million against a $25 million asking price.

Built in 1999 and sitting on a .98-acre lot capping a hilltop, the house has the rarified atmosphere of a lone hill residence offering panoramic views of Los Angeles. A closer look reveals a subtly deco-inspired home with soft greens juxtaposed against varied wood tones.

Of the home’s five bedrooms, three are suites, including a master with two baths and closets. The shared living spaces of this house culminate in an open living room with ceilings that are at least 12 feet high and a gracefully curved exterior wall inset with French doors that access the patio.
