Sylvester Stallone’s Beverly Hills Sanctuary Stays in the A-List Family As It’s Snapped Up by Adele for $58M

After the dust settled, who was it who elected to be the next owner of Sylvester Stallone’s famous Beverly Hills estate? Singer, songwriter and six-string plucker Adele. The powerhouse vocalist and influential pop-culture figure offered the legendary box-office powerhouse a stout $58 million for the property.

Mid eight figures is a substantial sum, to be sure. But Sly’s had the home on and off the market for a while, and his aspirations initially tipped into the nine-figure mark; back in the early days of 2021, it listed at $110 million. He had owned it for over twenty years by the time it changed hands this winter. Over the years he adjusted it to taste, and commissioned Los Angeles starchitect and mansion-building expert Richard Landry to design the guest house.

The estate is a trophy property with few peers, even in its storied neighborhood. The main house spans about 20,000 sq. ft., and the whole caboodle spans 3.5 acres. The location looks out over stunning canyon views; the city unfolds in the distance. A pool, putting green and eight-bay garage with a studio join the guest house in filling out the estate’s exterior amenities.

The mansion is a detail-rich Mediterranean with a long list of indoor specialty rooms, a massive gym and a screening room among them. Interior design elements include oversized windows, unusually high ceilings, ornamental columns, and plank hardwood or stone tile floors. The home’s lounge, which features a full-sized bar, is a highlight of the interiors; its exterior wall has been updated with steel-framed glass, including French doors. Other standouts include the kitchen, a relaxed affair with an inverse tray ceiling.

Sly’s enduring popularity has earned him a special distinction in the annals of American film history: he is the only actor to have starred in a box-office number-one film across six consecutive decades. And it looks like he’s still got a few blockbusters up his sleeve. His upcoming projects include Samaritan; The Expendables 4, with Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Megan Fox, and 50 Cent; and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper.

Adele has sold over 120 million records worldwide. She’s released four studio albums; the most recent, 30, was released in November of last year. Her last three studio album releases charted at number one in the U.S., her native U.K., and many other countries.
