Contemporary R&B stalwarts Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are patient when it comes to selling homes. The couple waited five years to sell their retreat outside Phoenix. They listed the desert contemporary near Camelback Mountain in 2016, asking $3.85, ultimately selling it last summer for $3.1 million.
The duo’s Georgian in New Jersey has been on and off the market for an even longer span of time. Keys and Beatz put the property up for sale in the summer of 2015, asking $14.9 million. This month, the home finally moved into contract. Its current ask is $9.99 million, but it appears the reduction was levied in one 33% chop after five year of holding out for a suitable offer. Keys and Beatz purchased the property from Eddie Murphy nearly a decade ago for $12.1 million.
The 1986-built red brick home sits on 3.91 acres of grounds in Englewood. Its façade is dominated by a porte-cochere supported by Ionic columns, and its interiors are decked out with crystal chandeliers, espresso-toned herringbone-pattern hardwood and glossy marble tile floors, and at least five fireplaces.
The residence contains six bedrooms and fifteen full or partial baths across its A home cinema with a ticket booth, a bowling alley with a full-size bar, a billiards room, and a pair of atriums, one of which houses the indoor pool. The master suite features a marble-heavy bath with a Duesie of a step-up alcove soaking tub.
Keys has sold over 90 million records worldwide. She’ll be hitting the road this summer; Alicia The World Tour kicks off in June.
