Music artist and producer Tyler Okonma — a.k.a. Tyler, the Creator — went house-hunting in Bel-Air late last year and emerged with the keys to a four-bedroom, 1965-built modern with city and canyon views. The 5,826 sq. ft. home closed at $7.92 million, according to Dirt.

A single-family house, the midcentury-style begins with a glassy entry: glass front door in a large glass plane, an invitingly transparent start to a buoyant living style. The living room positively blossoms, with a vaulted ceiling ending with a wall of glass including series clerestory windows, and an open linear fireplace.

The kitchen features custom floor-to-ceiling hardwood cabinetry and an island with a very pretty travertine waterfall cap that complements the floors; brushed stainless acts as chilly industrial ballast against the warmth of the wood and beige stone.

Among the home’s more exceptional spaces is the 1,500 sq. ft. master bedroom. Outside, a kitchen, fireplace and fire pit are arranged around an infinity pool.

Tyler, the Creator’s career trajectory reveals a steady progression to the top. His debut album peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 chart. Subsequent releases inched closer to No. 1, with the last two releases achieving chart-topping glory. The most recent, Call Me If You Get Lost, was released last year.
