Car buyers looking for an elegantly long-nosed, coach-built grand tourer need look no further than the 2022 Alpina B8. And, to keep up with changes in the foundation car — the BMW 8-Series that has recently been revised — Alpina has announced a new version of the B8 which incorporates the changes.

Among the adjustments, additions, replacements and enhancements made to the 8-Series for the 2023 model year include a backlit grille; for better or worse, Alpina’s including it in the B8. Other changes to the body include the incorporation of larger intakes as seen on the 2023 M8 Competition. Rounding out the revised 2023 B8: new wheels, improved suspension, and better brakes.

The engine and its performance ratings remain the same; the 4.4L V8 biturbo maes 612 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The B8 can launch to 60 MPH in 3.3 seconds on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 201 MPH.

Pricing information is not yet available, but the outgoing model, the 2022 Alpina B8 xDrive Gran Coupe, starts at $139,900.
