Veteran television director James Burrows purchased two properties in Southern California over the last few months. The Cheers and Will & Grace director plunked down $3.3 million for a fairway property in the resort city of La Quinta this winter, but back in the autumn of 2021 invested even more heavily in Laguna Beach.
The ranch-style property is located in Irvine Cove, a quiet and very desirable corner of the seaside city. It contains five bedrooms and six baths across 4,886 sq. ft. According to Dirt, Burrows paid $15 million for the property. It closed in the second half of October.
The house was built in 1962. Revisions to its interiors have brightened considerably, and steel-framed doors and windows have entered the picture. The additions include multiple sets of sliders for exterior living area access, creating a very effective indoor/outdoor living style. Other newer details include the backlit ceiling tray in the master bedroom.
A half-acre lot is the foundation of this home. It is used well, principally occupied by a semi-courtyard pool area that is the home’s primary destination in warmer weather.
