The Los Angeles-area modern farmhouse-meets-Cape of canine whisperer Cesar Millan came to the open market and vanished again with alacrity. The fleeting listing appeared in the second week of 2022 priced at $3.995 million; within days, it was in contingent status.
The 5,620 sq. ft. home’s façade presents a familiar countenance in the world of L.A.: clapboard, white with black trim, the industrial-inspired business and asymmetry of the style. A barn light sconce, some mixed stone, and a recessed entry with sidelights complete a first impression.
Interior spaces include five bedrooms six baths. The master is a well-designed space; a freestanding fireplace accent wall divides the bedroom from a sitting area with access to a small terrace floored in hexagonal tile; a fairly large walk-in closet and dressing room is tastefully designed with glassy wardrobes and plentiful cabinetry and shelving. Among the guest bedrooms is a smaller accommodation with a window seat.
Shared spaces are warmer than expected, with mid-toned plank and, in the living and dining rooms, cane-colored walls and a bit of floral covering.
Millan’s current projects include National Geographic’s Cesar Millan: Better Human Better Dog.
