This winter, rap star Iggy Azalea listed her 5,228 sq. ft. ranch in Hidden Hills with an asking price of $6.195 million. Considering she picked up the property less than a year ago, one might naturally conclude that the Australian-born performer is hoping for a quick flip. But the plans and permits for a façade revision and landscape update that are included with the sale indicate Azalea apparently planned a longer stay.

As it currently stands, the little retreat has much to commend it. The guest house features a vine-covered entrance, while the property’s outdoor living area is designed around a fairly extravagant pool with a waterfall and a raised spa. Gardens, lawns, a flagstone patio, BBQ, a fireplace, an equestrian arena and a large entertainment area are all featured along a tour of the 1.06-acre lot.

The main house dates to 1963. A comparison of current listing information and images used to market the home before Azalea took ownership reveal brush-up renovations, with the baths and kitchen receiving the most conspicuous changes. In the latter, gone are the Mediterranean colors while new pendants and cabinetry have appeared, but the fundamentals remain the same.

Azalea has sold over 70 million records worldwide. Her most recent studio album, The End of an Era, was released last year.
