Psychologist and author Mary Trump — niece of President Donald Trump — is the new owner of an apartment in the Renzo Piano-designed Manhattan building 565 Broome; she paid $7 million for the keys.
Ms. Trump’s unit is a three-bedroom, four-bath that measures in at 2,244 sq. ft. and features a corner great room, open kitchen, 10-foot ceilings, and Hudson River and Midtown views. It is one of 115 residences in the Soho building, which rises 30 stories above terra firma. Units feature low-iron glass for natural light transmission, as well as private elevator entries.
Regular readers may recall Travis Kalanick’s buy-in at 565 Broome. The Uber co-founder dropped $36.5 million on one of the building’s penthouses back in 2018. Tennis ace Novak Djokovic is another big fan of the the architect’s work: he purchased two condos at the swanky Manhattan address in 2017. Piano’s other notable U.S. residential projects include Eighty-Seven Park in Miami Beach; Djokovic picked up a unit in that building about two months before taking ownership of the 565 Broome penthouse, marking his second purchase at that address.
Trump is the author of Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man, and The Reckoning: Our Nation’s Trauma and Finding a Way to Heal. The former sold nearly one million copies on the day of its release.
