Kanye West closed on a house in Hidden Hills last month. The musician and designer paid $4.5 million for the property; it had been listed at just over $4 million in the first days of December.

The property lies across the street from Kim Kardashian. According to Dirt, West had a plan in mind to spend more time with his kids, and the house is its immediate manifestation.

The mid-1950s upscale ranch contains five bedrooms and four baths across 3,651 sq. ft. Its exterior is marked by a low-slung roof, a bay window, a covered entryway with a brick landing, and double-door entry.

The home’s lot spans over an acre; that’s enough space for leisurely lawns, a footpath, a garage, a pool, and equestrian facilities that include a stable and a large arena. Inside, the house is fairly dated, with lots of wood, and fireplaces in stone veneer and brick. Listing information indicates the house’s recent closing followed its first trip to market in 67 years.

West’s most recent studio album, Donda, was released last month. It debuted at the number one position on the Billboard 200 chart, making it West’s 10th consecutive chart-topper.

West’s net worth is estimated by Forbes at $1.8 billion.
