Rapper Roddy Ricch picked up a quiet slice of Beverly Hills recently. Just before Thanksgiving, the Grammy-winning musician shelled out $5.6 million for a heavily renovated 1960-built house in the Post Office area.

The 3,456 sq. ft. modern contains four bedrooms and five baths. The architecture is more or less midcentury ranch, although the house breaks into a second level. Inside the home, a rustic atmosphere is suggested by the wide-plank hardwood floors, but the series clerestories, concrete fireplace accent wall, guywire outdoor balustrades and open living area feel more modern.

Amenities include a home office with floor-to-ceiling built-in shelving, and a moody gray master bedroom with a private sitting area and a veranda. Updates include the folding glass walls that open onto the pool area. But top billing has to go to the location; the .87-acre lot is very private, and the house is framed in a heavy border of green.

Ricch’s debut album, Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart. His second album, Live Life Fast, was released earlier this month.
