The newest Mercedes-branded luggage set arrives just in time for the 2022 ski season. It’s a signature set for the revised Mercedes-AMG SL, the seventh-generation iteration of the classic roadster that Merc unveiled back in October.

Mercedes turned to venerable shoe-and-bag outfit Santoni to design the luggage set. The firm turned in a set that is elegantly simple and very refined, letting the leather take the limelight: it’s the same Nappa that AMG uses for the SL’s interior.

The luggage features lines that suggest travel-ready hardiness, with smooth curves that suggest the aerodynamic but are really intended to neatly fit in the SL’s trunk. The color choices include Red Pepper, Sienna Brown and plain old basic black. The largest item is the 25-inch-long weekender, while the range’s beauty case comes in at a diminutive 11×6 inches.

Other uptown Daimler brands have received a similarly dedicated set of travel essentials. A few years ago, Maybach’s S650 and S650 Cabriolet both received similar accessories.
