Actor Thomas Middleditch—perhaps most famous for his turn in HBO’s hit Silicon Valley, but more recently spotted in the lead role in CBS’ B Positive—is indeed moving into a new house in the Los Angeles area, but not a small bungalow in the Hollywood Hills.
Middleditch’s new residence is in fact a 2,933 sq. ft. nest-like spot in a western corner of Laurel Canyon. According to Dirt, he paid the full asking price of $4.495 million for the 1971-built Spanish ranch-inspired house.
The residence sits on a .33-acre lot which offers dizzying views of the city; sections of the panorama can be taken in from most of its rooms, although the living room allows the most expansive survey of the L.A. landscape. A wraparound balcony adds a certain visceral immediacy to the experience; vertigo sufferers, take note.
Interior details of the four-bedroom, three-bath home include exposed brick — a broad fireplace accent wall in the living room — wall niches, skylights, folding glass doors, and an extended side corridor lined with sets of French doors that links the shared living space and accommodations. The master contains another of the home’s fireplaces; in one of the guest rooms, the third fireplace is the centerpiece.
The living area’s many sets of French doors open to the open-air living area. A walkway meanders through the gardens, while a pool and patio take center stage amid the groomed landscaping.
Middleditch’s current projects also include Hulu adult animated sitcom Solar Opposites.
