A very rare Bugatti EB112 might be the most exotic new addition to the high-end used car market. The model hails from the short-lived first resurrection of the Bugatti marque, which took place in the 1990s. The dark blue four-door saloon is one of three that were partially produced in 1993 before the company, Bugatti Automobili S.p.A., went belly up two years later.

Bugatti redux 1 has its genesis in Italdesign chops. The EB112 was to be its touring car. Like the revived Bugatti’s first model, the EB110, of which over 100 were built, the design language is entirely individual. Where the EB110 is a wedge-shaped racer, the EB112 is a cherubic tourer: rounded, feminine lines and creature comforts galore. All three examples were completed after the company closed its doors.

The example that has come up for sale — chassis number 39002 — is being offered by German collectible car specialist Schaltkulisse. Other rarities in the company’s current catalog include a Wiesmann MF5, a Ferrari 250 Europa GT, and a Bugatti from the second revival, or third era of the brand: a Chiron.
