This fall, onetime action film star Dolph Lundgren finally sold the Hollywood Hills property he picked up in the summer of 2018. Lundgren listed the home initially back in the summer of 2020, when he hoped for $4.5 million. In the end, he accepted an offer of $3.71 million for the 2009-built home. The closing represents a nearly $200,000 loss for the Fulbrighter-turned-film actor and director.

The house is a 5,230 sq. ft. modern tower with four bedrooms and six baths. The design makes the most of a tight lot, extending the living space vertically; the house contains three full floors, with a rooftop deck halfway to a fourth and providing fine Los Angeles views as a result.

The interiors pack in amenities galore, including a smart home system, a gourmet kitchen, an owner’s suite with a spa bath and a double-sided fireplace, and a lap pool in the back of the property. The living style is open and warm, with plentiful glass contributing to the former and oak plank the latter; the home’s single-stringer staircase is a beaut, a warm industrial flourish.

But up top is where the living style comes together. Semi-enclosed and atmospherically lit at night, the rooftop deck is the home’s top destination.

Lundgren’s upcoming projects include Minions: The Rise of Gru, with Steve Carell, Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh, RZA, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Danny Trejo, and Russell Brand; Section Eight, with Mickey Rourke; Operation Seawolf, with Frank Grillo; Come Out Fighting, with Tyrese Gibson; Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, with Jason Momoa and Amber Heard; and The Expendables 4, with Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Randy Couture, Megan Fox, and 50 Cent.
