The Pasadena pad of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne has seen another price snip. This month, the 1928-built home had its asking price reduced to $8.2 million, a $700K chop. The house began its run this spring, when it asked $13 million.
The estate is crowned by a 10,277 sq. ft. house designed by legendary local architect Myron Hubbard Hunt. The grounds, a particularly lush two acres in a placid corner of the city, are filled out with walking paths, terraces, a pavilion, a veranda, water features, and a pool.
The house is a period trophy. Original details abound, and include hardwood paneling, original light fixtures, plank oak and parquet floors, French doors, fireplaces, milled plaster, coffered and beamed ceilings, and hand-painted tile. Exceptional spaces include the kitchen, where a Moroccan-inspired panel backsplash and a butcher-block capped island can be seen, and the dining room, which opens broadly to a patio.
Specialized spaces include a prayer room inspired by European cathedral architecture.
