A cozy ranch in Los Angeles is now owned by actress Roseanne Barr, according to Dirt. The three-bedroom property closed for $1.3 million, well above its 1.085 million ask.

The 1964-built residence contains some fine original details among the renovations. Most expressive is the red brick floor in the kitchen and dayroom; it adds significant warmth, and the strong midcentury touch looks more relevant than it might’ve a decade or two ago as the cycle of dating comes full circle…although a significant update in cabinetry and countertop might be indicated to lighten things up.

The property features a solar-powered pool. The .28 acres of grounds incorporates a circular driveway in front; in back, tiered planters and a step-down patio are designed into the hillside gradient.

Roseanne’s acquisition was accompanied this year by her listing of a Santa Monica-area house for $3.5 million. The 1991-built Tuscany-inspired 4,518 sq. ft. home hit the open market in September, and remains for sale.
