The Virginia residence of former Trump campaign honcho Paul Manafort went to a new owner recently. The home follows Manafort’s now-former home in the Hamptons, which changed hands for an above-ask $10.1 million earlier this fall.
The 3,836 sq. ft. home in Arlington dates to 1920. The façade places it firmly in the general American Foursquare category, right down to the neoclassical pediment that harkens back to the roots of American residential architecture.
You might expect a litany of period details to charm along a tour of this home’s interiors, and if you did you wouldn’t be entirely wrong. The house has seen substantial renovations, but Craftsman windows in back, staircase wainscoting, and some floors and fixtures look the vintage.
Perhaps the most appealing renovation is the attic, which is now an office.
