‘Bones’ Creator Hart Hanson Drops $9M on Chic Venice Pad

Bones creator Hart Hanson picked up a home in stubbornly bohemian Venice recently, spending $9 million on an East Coast-inspired beach house with a fire-pit rooftop deck that’s perfect for Pacific sunsets.

The 4,253 sq. ft. property was built in 2018 and features architecture that suggests Cape and perhaps shingle-style as well. Its interiors include shared living spaces with plentiful marbled quartz — including a waterfall island in the kitchen — as well as natural-toned plank oak, limestone, and folding glass walls that open to beachside balconies.

The house contains three bedrooms and four baths. The master suite is a well-appointed space that includes a bathroom sheathed in the same figured marbled quartz used throughout the home; another fireplace is in attendance in the bedroom, and fold-away glass opens to a private balcony with meditative water views. Most appealing is the portal that bridges the soaking tub with the breezy views of the bedroom.

Hanson’s other properties in the area include a bungalow. The creative fellow paid $2 million for the 1,200 square footer in Venice Beach back in the late summer of 2016.
