Marilyn Manson is the present owner of a 1926-built Spanish Eclectic in Los Angeles. But the 2,711 sq. ft. two-story house is available for sale; it appeared on the open market recently with an asking price of $1.75 million.
The house contains three bedrooms and three baths. The heart of it is the step-down great room, which features a soaring, two-level ceiling with exposed timber, a wall niche or two, a set of French doors capped with a fanlight, a rounded fireplace with a brick hearth step, and staggered series windows that illuminate the stairwell and accentuates the transition from first floor to second. A second-floor gallery looks out across this main living space.
Details include the narrow-plank, honey-toned hardwood floors that are featured throughout the first level, the grayscale scheme of the kitchen and guest room, and the iron spiral staircase. Toning in the house includes the intense blue of the room currently purposed as a fitness space, and the pale green which pops up in the staircase risers and built-in shelving and balances out some of the intense warmth of the style.
Outdoor living spaces include a little courtyard protected by a privacy wall, and a tile patio enhanced by lush landscaping.
Marilyn Manson’s eponymous band has released eleven studio albums, and has topped the Billboard 200 twice in the process. Their most recent studio album is 2020’s We Are Chaos.
