Lotus gave the world a look at the model which may become the marque’s last to be outfitted with an ICE. Among the details revealed about the nimble new sports—the Emira—was the fact that examples from the model’s initial production run would be loaded with the 3.5L supercharged V6 that propels the Evora.

This month, Lotus let us have a closer look at the V6-powered launch-version Emira, and announced the first deliveries of the four-cylinder as well. The 2022 Emira’s V6 can produce 400 horsepower and, with the automatic transmission that comes as an option, 317 pound-feet of torque; the stick gearbox that comes standard drops the torque a negligible 7 lb-ft.

The V6 Emira also comes fully dressed up, with 20-inch wheels and branded two-piece brake calipers, and packs various and sundry: Design, Driver’s, Lower Black, and Convenience. The decked-out V6 launch version of the Emira base stickers at $93, 900, while the regular-production four-cylinder version—which will be a 2023 model year car—will be priced from $74,900; a ‘First Edition’ four-cylinder is also forthcoming, but more on that later.

Deliveries of the 2022 Emira V6 First Edition are scheduled for the first quarter of the upcoming year. The four-cylinder 2023 Emira will follow later in the year.
