A luxuriant estate in the hills above Mulholland is a notable recent addition to the Los Angeles real estate market. The property is currently owned by Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, who have listed it with an asking price of $35 million. Timberlake has apparently owned it for about two decades; according to the listing, the 2000-built house has only been offered for sale once before.

The property’s 10.22 acres of grounds make it an unusual opportunity. That kind of space allows for a substantial privacy buffer, the addition of space-absorbing outdoor amenities like a tennis court and a two-bedroom guest house, and extravagantly leisurely landscaping that includes a green glade of rolling lawn amid mature trees. The property also comes with a unique provenance: it was once a part of Errol Flynn’s estate. Helen Hunt sold the spot to Timberlake, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The Mediterranean showplace has seen heavy renovation. Its exterior is a warm mix of stucco and tile, with black trim and windows. Inside, the house features a shared living area that is tasteful and quite open, with casement windows, fireplaces, plank hardwood and beamed ceilings. Amenities include a master suite with a dressing room, a theater, and an outdoor living area with an 85 foot-long pool and vegetable gardens.

Timberlake has released five studio albums; all of them topped the Billboard 200 chart save the first, which peaked at number two. His upcoming film projects include Reptile, with Benicio Del Toro and Alicia Silverstone.
