DeSean Jackson accepted an above-asking-price offer on his Los Angeles-area home recently. The house in Tarzana was on the market for only a few weeks when it sold above its ask, fetching $2.2 million against a $1.995 million listing price.
The cozy, 1951-built traditional measures in at 3,837 sq. ft., and sits on a .38-acre lot dotted with mature palms and filled out in back with a heated pool, BBQ bar and lounge area. A second-floor balcony in back runs nearly the width of the home, and a one-bedroom detached guest house augments the accommodations.
Inside the four-bedroom house, off-white walls and ceilings combined with wide-plank, mid-toned hardwood is the design scheme for the shared spaces. The living room is a step-down, and features a fireplace with a raised hearth. Fold-away glass opens the space to the outdoor recreation area in back. The owner’s suite occupies the whole second floor, and includes an office in its layout.
In May, the Pro Bowl vet fared well on a residence in New Jersey; that property also sold quickly, and above ask. It hit the open market in March tagged at $1.425 million, and went to a new owner in exchange for $1.5 million inside of two months.
