Hasselblad, the legendary Swedish firm that has produced some of the most desirable medium-format cameras in the history of the mechanical shutter, has unveiled a new camera package for the occasion of its 80th birthday.
The 907X Anniversary Edition Kit begins with inspiration from the company’s ground breaking model, the HK-7, which first appeared in camera shops in 1941. The 80 elapsed years are transposed via Hassy’s marketing pros into an 800-example production run of a limited-edition kit anchored by an SWC-inspired design, the 907X.
Along with the 907x body, the Anniversary Edition Kit is outfitted with an XCD f/3.5 30mm lens, a CFV II 50C digital back, a viewfinder, and a control grip. Black grain leatherette and anodized edges, and various Edition-specific badging—including an etched focus ring—are unique to the kit.
