Italian motorcycle designer and manufacturer MV Agusta has a new option for one-bike around-town riders and commuters. The bike is a RS variation of the Brutale 1000. Because it is something of a hybrid — both superbike and everyday tourer — it’s a compelling addition to the company’s lineup.
But MV Agusta didn’t leave out the performance. The bike’s 998cc engine can produce up to 208 horsepower, a hefty amount of power for a vehicle that weighs in at less than 500 pounds. The Brutale 1000 RS can reach a top speed of 186 MPH, more speed than most riders will ever need.
The RS comes with a new seat that’s made to be easier for the everyday rider. A 5.5-inch screen makes the bike more amenable to day tours as well.
The Brutale 1000 RS starts at about $30K at current exchange rates.
