Joseph Edelman—CEO of Perceptive Advisors—dropped the price on his Manhattan penthouse residence recently. The billionaire marketed the property this spring with a $33.2 million ask. The triplex condo unit is now listed at $29.95 million.

With a Park Avenue address in Lenox Hill, 7,200 sq. ft. of interior living space, and a rooftop terrace comprising nearly the entire upper floor, the penthouse is a desirable spot. The building was completed in 1912, and converted in the 2000s.

The interiors of the condo unit are unpretentious and sedate, with beige and off-white tones, the occasional ornamental ceiling, and limestone fireplaces that date to the 18th century. They begin with a foyer on the first floor, which also contains two of the residence’s five bedrooms and the lion’s share of the common areas, including the kitchen—which is outfitted with a La Cornue six-burner stove, an Ann Sacks backsplash, custom cabinetry, and granite countertops—as well as a wood-paneled library, great room, and living room; the latter measures 21 feet by 18.

The middle level contains the master bedroom, which opens to a large private terrace. The floor’s gallery and creative workspace open to terrace space on the opposite side of the building. Although mainly given over to terrace space, the top floor also contains a home theater.

Edelman’s net worth is around $3 billion, according to Forbes.
