In the early days of summer, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden sold a residence in Beverly Crest to singer Adele. The transaction was conducted quietly off-market — with the closing registering at $10 million — and added a property to Adele’s growing compound in the area.

Richie and Madden, meanwhile, went looking for a new house in the same neighborhood, and by the end of the summer had emerged with the deed to a redesigned, 1987-built, 6,165 sq. ft. home with five bedrooms and six baths. The couple added the home to their portfolio for a $10.15 million investment.

The revision brings a huge amount of dramatically figured Calacatta Corchia marble and wide-plank hardwood to the living style.
