Annapurna Pictures founder Megan Ellison hefted a 1957-built high modern onto the open market this summer. Ellison is asking $12.5 million for the property.
The Beverly Hills home was designed by architect Alfred T. Wilkes, and shows off a daring mix of circular grace and abrupt angularity. The house was renovated in a manner that heightens the style, and features linear evocation throughout—in wood grain, in the use of slatted hardwood panels as wall and ceiling accents, and in bathroom tile. No book matched marble in sight; amen to that. The living style is ordered, warm, circumspect and optimistic.
The 4-bed house sits on a .46-acre lot. A pool and outdoor living area completes a quick look at another extraordinary Beverly Hills modern owned by Ellison; she previously purchased a gem, that one for $15.5 million, from Academy Award-winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminski.
Ellison’s upcoming projects include the Ridley Scott-directed House of Gucci, with Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Salma Hayek, and Al Pacino.
