About a year ago, ‘Gossip Girl’ creator Josh Schwartz picked up this little estate in Sherman Oaks for $8.1 million. He listed it on the cusp of this spring with a $6.9 million price tag. According to Dirt, tennis pro Sloane Stephens was the one who stepped up with the asking price to call the place her own.

The house dates to 1952, but had been heavily revised prior to Schwartz’s purchase. Its 9,000 sq. ft. of interiors featured retractable glass walls, bright white paint, a series of new pendant fixtures, and new wide-plank hardwood. Schwartz apparently embarked on a comprehensive renovation he did not finish; he ended up listing the home as is.

The home’s exterior appears to be unaffected. A pool and pool house, pergola covered bar and kitchen, patio space, and volleyball court and fire pit complete a look at the property’s outdoor recreation suite.
