The Hawaii getaway listed by rocker Anthony Kiedis this past July wasn’t long on the open market. The property on Kauai popped up for sale in the final days of July with an asking price of $9.975 million. It closed at $8.25 million less than three weeks later.

The property is situated on the North Shore of the Garden Isle. The 2,933 sq. ft. home sits on .42 acres of beachfront land, and is framed by a thick border of green, with mountain views behind it and a spit of sand reaching out into the Pacific providing meditative views from the outdoor living area.

Elevated on stone pillars against storm tides, the house has exterior lounge space above and below; underneath, a large living area expands the total square footage, while a deck on the main level overlooks the property and ocean.

Interior details include plank floors, automated blinds, built-in shelving, hipped ceilings, and an open-concept common area. The home’s three bedrooms are all en-suite.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ achieved mainstream success with 1991’s Blood Sugar Sex Magik; all subsequent studio albums continued to chart highly worldwide. Their most recent studio release is 2016’s The Getaway. A new album is in the making.
