Bentley’s trip to Monterey this year included a reveal of the Mulliner-spec Flying Spur for the new model year. The Mulliner treatment, which also always impresses in the Continental GT, Continental GT convertible, Bentayga, and the retired Mulsanne, will be available in all three regular-production Flying Spur powertrain options: V8, V12, and Hybrid V6.
For 2022, the ultimate touring car given a going-over by the marque’s customization division treatment features heavy use of the ‘double diamond’ motif that is Bentley’s signature—the grille and wing vents are decorated with the pattern, and it is used to finish the leather adorning the seats and doors as well, with the seats receiving the complex ‘diamond-in-diamond’ version.
The Flying Spur Mulliner for 2022 rides on 22-inch rims inset with the familiar ‘B’ insignias sitting unflappably poised at center. Badging inside and out is eminently visible but not quite heavy-handed.
Mulliner-level treats include amenities for the mobile picnicker: tables that can be deployed at the push of a button. The interior is completed with the usual array of Bentley finery, including an optional set of analog gauges for the traditionalist.
Bentley hasn’t revealed pricing for the 2022 Flying Spur Mulliner cars at this point. Expect more news later in the year.
