NBA legend and Beantown hero Bill Russell listed his Washington State getaway this month. The retired professional basketball player and coach — and most decorated player in NBA history — is asking $2.6 million for the property, which is located on Mercer Island in Puget Sound.

The 1973-built house contains four bedrooms and three baths. It’s an unassuming residence that’s lodged in a thick grove of mature trees, setting a proper Pacific Northwest atmosphere of intense green and secluded wilderness. The hillside located allows for views from the private bedroom balconies in back and a wraparound deck that overlooks the forest.

Interior spaces include a step-down living room enhanced by a fireplace with a raised, tiled hearth, a kitchen given a corner position and plenty of glass, and an upper-level family room. The master suite is located on the first level, and features a bath with custom tile in aquamarine and off-white and a huge step-up soaking tub.

The lot measures in at .39 acres.
