The last time we heard from TV personality and resident HGTV flipping expert Christina Haack, she was listing and then selling a house in Newport Beach that she’d put a great deal of thought into revising. The property appeared in the spring of this year with a $5.5 million ask, and sold smack dab in the middle of June for $5.35 million.
Haack’s newest project is a starkly realized 5,000 sq. ft. farmhouse in Tennessee. The 2017-built home closed in early February for $2.5 million, according to Dirt, so it looks like Haack had taken on the 24-acre property in Franklin and tucked it into the wings while she finished up in Newport Beach. Its exterior features a barn-like gable on the left, and a complex triple gable on the right that ushers in an L-shaped wraparound covered porch below.
Interiors sport the familiar contemporary rustic approach popular in a high-dollar Nashville-area bedroom community like Franklin, with exposed timber, stone accents, a barn door or two, a brick fireplace in the kitchen, and a fair amount of reclaimed wood as décor.
What design surprises will Haack bring to the table for this residential canvas? We’ll have to wait and see.
