NBA player Luke Kennard signed on the line to take possession of this contemporary in Los Angeles. The Clippers shooting guard paid $5.5 million for the 7,015 sq. ft. modern farmhouse in Tarzana, which features cedar accents and a black-and-white color scheme outside.

The cedar pops up throughout the 2021-built home’s interiors as well, including in the five bedrooms; in the master, the vaulted ceiling is clad in dramatically contrasting plank, a visually complex and satisfying embellishment.

The master bedroom also gets one of the house’s three fireplaces, all featuring surrounds in the same marble that adorns the kitchen’s waterfall island and snack bar. There’s a rich variation of pattern and texture in this house, including the accent walls in the shared living area, and in the tile and clapboard used in the bedrooms and baths.

Outside, the half-acre lot is filled out by a lifestyle backyard: a zero-edge pool, an outdoor kitchen, a cabana with a bath, and fine views.
