The tail end of July 2021 saw purveyor of American summertime lifestyle Airstream team up with Pottery Barn for a special edition trailer. The meeting of the brands makes sense, in a way; who better to help define the living style of a contemporary Airstream, especially at this point in history?

The foundation is the 28RB Flying Cloud, a 28-footer that’s ideal for customization, giving the interior décor mavens at Pottery Barn plenty of room to work. What Pottery Barn brought to the table is a fully realized house on wheels—included in the trailer are soft goods, hardware, special fabrics for shades and upholstery, a solid oak dining table, matte-black kitchen faucet, and a host of small, homey and sometimes very practical touches, including an outdoor table, sconces, and chalkboard.

Airstream gave the special edition full connectivity, including the company’s Smart Control technology. And, of course, the sleek, rounded, metallic, fuselage-like shape that’s immediately recognizable on the road.

The price starts at $145,500.
