The Manhattan residence of Jerry Stiller — father of Ben Stiller, and acting legend in his own right — appeared on the open market recently with a $5 million asking price. The apartment is located on the Upper West Side, in a building that dates to 1929 and was converted into a co-op in the second half of the century.

The 3,700 sq. ft. residence is simple, bright and open, with herringbone and parquet oak floors getting most of the attention in the shared spaces, which begin with a long gallery. The unit’s offset floor plan puts the living room in a corner position, and the master on the opposite end of the floor. There are five bedrooms and five baths in this apartment overall.

Stiller — most famous in the later part of his career for his recurring turn as Frank Costanza on seminal 1990s NBC hit show Seinfeld — had resided at the property for over fifty years at the time of his death last year. He owned the apartment with his wife, Anne Meara; the duo also shared the stage.
