The property ticks all the boxes for summertime-variety rental essentials: seclusion, a large outdoor living area surrounded by green-and-growing, close proximity to a large natural body of water/views of same, and a relaxed, cottagey living style. It was last on the market with a $20,000/month ask. Biden’s previous rentals include a modern in Hollywood Hills and an architectural in Venice.

From an outside perspective, the 1997-built house shows off traditional design elements, with stone accents and multiple covered and uncovered outdoor spaces attached. The single level design of its common areas launches into an upper level to accommodate guest rooms, but the master suite is on the main floor, and features two of the house’s many sets of French doors for outdoor access, with both the bedroom and the double-vanity bath opening onto the exterior living area.

The shared spaces feature vaulted and semi-vaulted ceilings, with built-in and floating shelving, oak plank floors; in the living room, a river stone fireplace accent wall stands like a symbol of rural or semi-wilderness summertime. Cool tones pop up in the master bath and one of the guest rooms—which receives a dark blue wall and a window seat cushion in the same color—but most of the house is neutral…no greys, just white walls and ceilings for abundant reflected light.
