The Las Vegas home of Carlos Santana wasn’t long on the market. The contemporary desert-tinged dwelling, which appeared for sale at $2.795 million in the first days of summer, found a new buyer in the high season. The property closed at $2.725 million.

The three-bedroom, four-bath residence, a slick but unassuming home both inside and out, boasts architecture that touches on modern and traditional styles, with perhaps a touch of Prairie School in its façade.

A great room is the focus of the interiors; the room features a soaring ceiling, rectangular clerestories positioned high in the second floor walls, a linear fireplace, and a wet bar. The kitchen layout includes a large island with a waterfall design and a lower snack bar.

Outside, the focus shifts to the heart of the home: a living area with a pool and covered dining and lounging spaces that may be accessed via retractable glass in the great room, and on a corner in the family room.

Santana’s other real estate adventures this year have included a listing and purchase in Hawaii. The outgoing property was listed at $12.9 million earlier this summer. It arrived at around the same time the explorative musician shelled out $20.5 million for an idyll on Kauai.

Santana’s eponymous band first topped the Billboard 200 album chart with 1970’s Abraxas. It served up another chart-topping album the following year—Santana III. Decades later, the band’s success shows no sign of abating; its most recent studio release, Africa Speaks, peaked at no. 3.
